鈴木 剛  学生時代の研究テーマ

 私は平成11年に東北大学農学部の植物遺伝学研究室の博士課程を出ました。学位論文のテーマは、”アブラナ科植物(ハクサイやカブなど....)の自家不和合性を制御しているS遺伝子座のゲノム解析”でした。自家不和合性とは、植物の生殖(花粉が雌しべについて受精に至る)の際に、雌しべの細胞が自己と非自己の花粉を識別して自己の花粉が受精するのを妨げる面白い現象です。この現象を制御しているS遺伝子座という染色体上の領域をDNAレベルで詳しく解析することにより、関連している遺伝子群を明らかにしてきました。
 今までの研究を通して、植物のゲノム構造について興味を持っており、今後も、こうした分野での研究に携わっていきたいと考えています。
